The Metric of Reliability

Jose Miguel Arias has been making things out of wood for more than a decade. He started at a workbench building custom furniture, the kind of work where every joint matters and there is nowhere to hide a mistake. That discipline is the foundation of everything that came next.

Three years ago, he founded JM Trade Group in Houston with a straightforward bet: that the same hand and standard that built furniture pieces could carry over to cabinetry for entire buildings, if you paired it with the right CNC equipment and the right team. The bet is paying off.

Today JM Trade Group manufactures custom cabinetry and millwork for builders, developers, and contractors across Texas. Multifamily projects with a hundred repeated units. Hospitality casegoods for hotels. Medical grade cabinetry for dental and healthcare buildouts. Kitchens and baths for custom residential. All of it runs through the same shop, on the same CNC equipment, held to the same standard.

What has not changed from the furniture days is that standard. Every cabinet that leaves the shop is something Jose Miguel would be willing to put his name on, because his name is on the building. The team is small enough that he is still in the shop checking work, and the operation is large enough to turn out an entire complex on a tight construction schedule.

If you are a GC, a developer, or a designer who needs cabinetry that arrives accurate, on schedule, and ready to install, get in touch. The person who answers the phone can tell you exactly where your job is.
